The Sunrise AI Journey

Where are you on your AI journey?

AI at Sunrise is a path, not a switch. Most of us start at Level 1 — using Claude like a search box. The point of this site is to show you what's next, why it matters for your role, and how to get there without getting lost in the weeds.

Level 1

Two Habits That Make Claude Noticeably Better
From Carlos's June 11 email — two minutes each, no setup beyond what's below.
1 · Tell Claude who you are (one-time setup)
Go to Settings → General → Instructions for Claude and add two lines, adjusted to your role. Claude then calibrates every answer to you — right depth, right vocabulary — even in chats outside a project.
I am a property analyst at Sunrise Communities. Give me direct answers at a professional level — if my reasoning has a flaw, say so plainly.
2 · Challenge the answer (every time it matters)
Before you rely on an answer — a number, a recommendation, a draft going to someone else — paste this follow-up. Claude argues against itself well, but won't volunteer it.
Before I accept that, give me the strongest case against it. What are the blind spots? What would a smart person who disagrees push back on hardest?

Why we're investing in AI — and the plan behind it.

AI at Sunrise isn't a side experiment — it's how we expand what each person can do without adding headcount or burning anyone out. These two documents lay out the why and the sequencing.
