# AI Self-Assessment Prompt for Sunrise Team

## Message to team (Slack/Email):

---

Hey team,

We're looking for ways AI can save you time on the repetitive stuff so you can focus on what actually matters - taking care of our communities and residents.

I'd like everyone to try a quick exercise. Copy the prompt below, fill in your info where it says [FILL IN], and paste it into Sunny (sunny-cm.suncom.work). It'll give you some personalized ideas for how AI could help with YOUR specific work.

No wrong answers. This isn't a test - it's a conversation starter. If you get something interesting back, share it with me. If it's useless, tell me that too.

Takes about 5 minutes.

## Prompt (copy everything below):

```
I work at Sunrise Communities, a manufactured housing and parking management company.
Here's a bit about me and my role:
- My name: [YOUR NAME]
- My role: [YOUR JOB TITLE - e.g., Community Manager, Property Accountant, Maintenance Tech, etc.]
- My property/department: [WHERE YOU WORK]
- The top 3-4 things I spend the most time on each week (BE SPECIFIC - instead of "reports," say "pulling occupancy numbers from RentManager and formatting them for my regional manager." The more detail you give, the better the suggestions):
  1. [FIRST TASK - describe what you actually do, not just the category]
  2. [SECOND TASK]
  3. [THIRD TASK]
  4. [FOURTH TASK, if applicable]
- The one task I wish someone else could handle for me (again, be specific - what exactly about it takes so long?): [YOUR ANSWER]
- My comfort level with technology: [Not very comfortable / Pretty comfortable / Very comfortable]
- I've used AI before: [Never / A couple times / I use it sometimes / I use it regularly]
Based on my role and daily work, I'd like your help with three things:
1. QUICK WINS: What are 2-3 specific tasks from my list above where AI could realistically save me time RIGHT NOW? For each one, explain what I'd do step-by-step - not just "AI can help with that," but actually show me how. Keep it simple.
2. STARTER PROMPTS: Write me 3 ready-to-use prompts I can try today for my actual work. Each one should be something I can paste in and use immediately. Pick things that would save me real time, not just a few minutes.
3. WHAT TO LEARN NEXT: What's ONE skill I should get comfortable with over the next month that would make the biggest difference for someone in my role? Give me a simple plan - like 15 minutes a day, nothing overwhelming.
Keep your tone friendly and practical. I'm not looking for a lecture on AI - I want to know what I can actually DO with it starting today. If something about my role is hard for AI to help with, just say so honestly.
Skip anything about job security or AI replacing people - that's not what this is about. This is about working smarter so I have more time for the parts of my job that matter most.
Important: Don't suggest "prompt engineering" or "learning to write better prompts" as the skill to learn. Suggest something practical I can apply to my actual work this week. Also, when suggesting tools or steps, reference the systems we actually use at Sunrise when relevant (RentManager, Paychex, RingCentral, Google Workspace, Slack, AvidXchange).
## Notes for Carlos:
- Prompt is designed to work with Sunny or any general AI (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
- Intentionally avoids: displacement language, jargon, overwhelming structure
- Asks for step-by-step specifics so responses aren't vague
- "One task I wish someone else could handle" is the gold mine question - that's where the real automation opportunities hide
- Responses people share back = your AI Practical Wins roadmap (Q1 Rock)
- Consider following up in 2 weeks: "Did anyone try the suggestions? What worked?"
